Was wondering if you can use sweet n low in coffee on fat loss for idiots diet.

The key ingredient in Sweet n Low is aspartame. When I started drinking cases of Diet Coke (containing aspartame) I quickly gained 90 pounds and did not know why. After reading Dr. Neal Barnard’s books on the topic, I learned that aspartame increases appetite and can cause brain damage because it is an excitotoxin. MSG is another excitotoxin with this property.

There are many side effects of this food additive with some people more sensitive than others. In general, I felt fuzzy and forgetful when I was drinking this soda pop over an extended number of years. After stopping the soda pop and changing my food choices to a "whole plant based diet," I lost the weight I had gained.

Read Dr. Neal Barnard for details about aspartame and a healthy diet. Dr. Dean Ornish wrote "Eat More, Weigh Less." You can lose weight without feeling deprived or hungry.

I am 19, male and quite fit I weigh around 80kg. I need to lose some fat, I’m on resistance training and im doing plenty of cardio this week as I have let myself go and put on a bit of weight recently. I want a set diet plan not just "eat less fat sugar and carbs" what is the best set diet plan online. ( I plan on having one meal off every week)

Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don’t get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don’t work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That’s why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet’s are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that’s how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don’t overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It’s more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun

I am trying to lose fat and build muscle. I have only done three weeks of this new lifestyle change, but there are just so many rules and areas to create a proper diet. I am losing about one to two pounds a week so I feel confident going to the gym and cutting the fast food is working so far. The bodybugg I use tells me I burn around 2700 calories a day and I have been keeping my protein intake around 180 grams a day, I weigh about 180 pounds right now. The problem with my diet is that I always seem to completely omit or go way over on some area. I may end up with no carbs or take in three times my daily cholesterol or sodium intake. I take a protein shake that is 300 calories, 52 grams of protein, and 180 mg of cholesterol (I will switch to a low cholesterol protein shake when this runs out). I have really lost a desire to eat most food and have become violently ill the last couple of times I have eaten junk food, so I feel rather confident that I can stick to a precise diet. I am looking for a diet with a high calorie day, close to 2700 calories (gym days), a medium calorie day, close to 2200 calories (non-gym work days), and a low calorie day close to 1400 calories (weekends). Do any of you have some diets written down that would be fairly close to these numbers, without excess or ignorance of all the important food groups? I am somewhat particular about my food. I do not eat fresh fruit (canned/packaged is usually fine) or almonds. I am aware that this is unhealthy and makes a proper diet difficult to plan, but I have a weak stomach, (IBS problems) and need to slowly integrate this stuff back into my diet, at least the fruit, I am just allergic to almonds, not deathly, only an itchy mouth. I also take a multi vitamin daily, drink plenty of water, am aware of eating small meals throughout the day, acknowledge the fact that I will not be able to continue to build muscle for many more weeks and lose fat without a caloric surplus (that’s fine I will just concentrate on maintaining muscle and losing fat until I get to a good body fat percentage, am at close to 30% right now. I do not want a cheat meal day or advice on better workouts or cardio for fat loss. I only want some examples of diets that are in my calorie zone, provide a proper amount of protein 1-1.5 grams per pound, are within my dietary restrictions, and are not extremely high in sodium or take out carbs, no craze diets, just complete diets. One last thing, I do not think I need to add any supplements, I already take creatine, fish oil, multi vitamins, and the protein shake. Also, don’t tell me obvious stuff like just eat healthy fresh stuff, I know that, just want the example diets without doing the work myself, but I guess I will if no one answers the question or provides unwanted advice.
I guess the posting was somehow not detailed enough. You can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time when you are a beginner. I know you need a caloric surplus to gain muscle and a caloric deficit to lose fat, but there is a stage where beginners lose fat can and gain muscle. If you don’t have an answer to the question and want to throw in your unwanted info find another question, mine is asking for a sample diet. If you had read all of the question you would have seen that I already stated I will focus more on muscle maintenance and fat loss (cutting) once I no longer gain muscle, I am guessing in another 4-8 weeks. If someone else would like to answer the actualy question I would really appreciate it.

You can not gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. The body is either in an anabolic (gain) or catabolic (lose) state for both fat and muscle. There counter intuitive goals what you have to do is lose the fat tissue first then build up muscle from your low weight and periodically ‘cut’ to remove fat tissue gained in the process of building muscle but do it for short periods of time to preserve the muscle mass
Fine don’t believe me if you want thats cool..good luck.

1)Is it true that you’ll still loose muscle when on a calorie restricted diet, even if you’re working your muscle by resistance training to help minimize the loss of lean tissue? I’ve been told that for every 4 pounds u loose, 1 pound of it will come from lean tissue.

2) I’m 5’5, 23yrs,135lbs and 27.8% body fat, I’d like to get to 117lbs at 21% body fat…is this possible over the course of 6 months?

Currently I eat at around 1200-1300kcal a day, and I do sit-ups, leg raises, lunges, rear lunges and push ups every other day to atleast help maintain my muscle (these are the only resistance exercises I know how to perform correctly so I’ve decided to stick to these basics for now), I also do some light aerobics for 30-40mins 5 times a week. I eat every 3 hours and include lots of lean meat and greens in my diet, plus I take a multivitamin and fish oil supplements.

3) Please advice on anything else I should incorporate? (btw I started my program a month ago at 140lbs and 29% BF)
btw, i’m small framed, so I actually look smaller than i weigh (i wear size 6-8) even though my fat level is kinda high…i intend to focus more on intense forms of weight training as I get close to my ideal weight to help get down to 21% BF.
sorry, i meant UK size 8/US size 4-6

Well, I’m not sure about the figure about for every 4 lbs of fat you’ll lose 1 lb. of lean tissue but yes you do lose SOME muscle if you’re ONLY doing cardio. But if I were you and my goal is fat-loss then I wouldn’t be so worried just yet with the muscles. Lose the fat, and build up the muscle later. You CAN do both at the same time by keeping your resistance training and amping up the reps or number of sets as you feel like you can handle more. But yeah if you’ve only been doing this for a month now, great job! More than likely I’m guessing you only saw this 5 lb loss in the last week or two. Give your body time to adjust more to this new lifestyle and you’ll continue to see results. You’re doing great!

For the past three months I’ve been doing 100 sit ups a day. I know that three months isn’t all that long, but I have seen NO results other than the fact that I can feel a lot muscle underneath my fat on my stomach. If there’s so much muscle, then why isn’t there any fat loss? I eat a reasonable diet, with a few splurges now and then, and I’m a vegetarian. Any tips to make my fat go away?

P.S. I’m not interested in losing pounds, just looking like I’ve lost them. I don’t care about the numbers, unless they show. . .
Also, I’m not interested in buying anything, so don’t try to advertise any stupid products or email things to me. (Like Acai Berry and "The Truth About Abs" thing. . . )

All you are doing is toning the muscles underneath, but doing nothing to remove the fat.

Put it like this. You are digging a tunnel under the fat, instead of digging through it.

How to fix it, I am not quite sure. Jogging is one way.
